- Leaky Ni-Cd clock battery
The Ni-Cd battery may be leaking, risking damage to PCB layers & nearby components. Promptly remove the battery & clean corrosion/alkaline salts from the board. Use white vinegar to dissolve salts, but exercise caution as vinegar can corrode exposed metals. A thorough examination & repair may be needed. Replace battery with guide: https://github.com/wiretap-retro/Not-A-Varta
- Similar but slightly different than the PC Chips M205 and PCMATE TD60 motherboards. Examine area between the TD60 chip and the edge of the board
- Has internal clock generator in the chipset running at fixed 12.5MHz and the connector for external clock is not connected to anything except on the 20Mhz board. J15 does nothing without the second ocillator.
- Works with MRBIOS 1.65 Bios for Hedaka when arranged 32KB Even then 32KB Odd
- Works with TD60 BIOS. PC Chips M205 is possibly organized differently.
- The DIP-14 parity chips are only necessary if you enable parity in the BIOS
