Underpowered VRM

The onboard VRM may not provide sufficient power for certain processors or configurations.

Notes

This motherboard only supports processors with up to 95W TDP (Thermal Design Power). Processors with higher TDP will NOT operate on this motherboard. Please refer to the CPU Support List in the Documentations section for a list of supported processor models.
A variant with Realtek RTL8101E LAN also exists. It is named G31M4-L and it uses a different BIOS (due to incompatible option ROM in the BIOS of this motherboard).
May also have an IEEE1394 (FireWire) port and/or a TPM (Trusted Platform Module) header, both are optional.
