Integrated Audio was optional and lives on the riser board when present. While both the ethernet and audio chips live on the riser, the external ports live on separate boards which plug into the riser The audio board contains the amplifier, game port and wavetable interface. While the integrated DEC 21140 ethernet is 10/100 capable, 100Mbps operation was optional - some machines had a 10baseT/10base2 board, while others had a 10Base-T/100Base-TX board. Models without integrated Matrox video were available with S3 video on the riser board.
