Following is probably related to the wrong flash chip type, but BIOS version WA0911 might not work properly, causing the boot to hang at "Updating ESCD", "Building ESCD" or "Verifying DMI Pool Data". In this case, use version WA53. This problem can be probably solved by taking a flash chip which can be written in chunks, like for example SST29EE010.
